The DB408 repeater antenna is on the North side of the tower produces 6.6 DB gain and is around 170 feet above North Paris. It is fed with 7/8 inch heliax. The repeater itself is a Kenwood TKR-850. The repeater is controlled by a full featured Arcom RC210 controller. The repeaters output is about 10 watts and is fed into a Vocom repeater amplifier which is loafing at 100 watts forward power
I am currently experimenting with echolink in hopes of having the repeater always connected. It is node # 339756 or KI5DX-R.
I am getting good signal reports from Hugo Ok, Honey Grove, Cooper Texas, Bonham, Sulphur Springs, Roxton, Blossom, Reno with great HT coverage out in the county. Due to the antenna being on the north side of the tower there is some shading to the south.
. This is still a work in progress but as of right now we have a good start. There was a lot of hard work, time and money spent on this repeater by several individuals. Thanks to all.
